Current Biographical Sketch

Nathan Kwan-Ho Ng is a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science at University of Massachusetts Amherst, advised by Prof. Prashant Shenoy. His research interests lie broadly in distributed systems and systems for machine learning, with a current focus on optimizing AI systems across the device–edge–cloud continuum. Before joining UMass, Nathan received his B.Sc. in Computer Science from Hong Kong Baptist University, where he was advised by Prof. Byron Choi and worked on graph query autocompletion and graph databases. He also completed two summer internships as a Research Scientist Intern at Adobe, where his work led to two U.S. patents, and is back for a third in Summer 2026.
